Reminder:  This Friday is our School Science Fair.  Grade 3 will be displaying their work from 2:00 - 2:20pm in the school gym.  Parents are more than welcome to come and view their child’s work and see what other grades have done.

Children will be doing the STAR Reading and Math tests this week.  Results will be sent home towards the end of the week.  Please remember to sign and return this assessment to Ms. Hurst as soon as possible.

The Science Fair will be held from 1:00pm-2:30pm on Friday 20th of January.  Children are completing their experiments this week and will soon be starting on their presentations.

Friday - Science.  Children to gather materials for their Science Fair experiment.  Children have been put into three Science groups and will be conducting an experiment in these groups.  This experiment as well as there Science plan and materials is written in their Science Lab Manual.  Children will take the lab manual home Thursday night so they know what materials to collect.  These are the days the children will do their experiments: Albert Einstein group - Monday 9th of January, Alexander Graham Bell group - Tuesday 10th of January, Isaac Newton group - Wednesday 11th of January.  Children will present their experiment and findings at our whole school Science Fair on Friday January 20th.

Wednesday - Social Studies. Children are to continue researching their ABC Across the Cayman Islands project.  Please see the project assignment sheet in your child’s bag for more details.  It would be best if children aim to complete all research by Friday so they can start working on creating their poster  during our Friday class session.  Extra research time and working on their poster can also be done over the weekend.  I would like all completed projects handed in by Tuesday, 13 December.  This assignment will also be graded and therefore be part of their overall Social Studies grade.

Thursday - Accelerated Math.  Children will have their personal activity in their bag.  Their form number will be written in their agenda.

Friday - Children will be sitting their Subtraction test during our normal scheduled Math time, 8:30-9:30am.
